Scope
Safeguarding concerns may arise during applicant communication, office activity, events or interactions involving a vulnerable person. Staff should not ignore a credible disclosure or immediate welfare concern.
Raising a concern
Send a safeguarding concern to info@cnluk.net with the subject “Safeguarding Concern”. Share only information necessary to explain the concern and avoid circulating sensitive details more widely than required.
Immediate danger
CNL is not an emergency service. Where someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service or relevant statutory authority.
Confidentiality
Information should be handled on a need-to-know basis. Absolute confidentiality cannot be promised where information may need to be shared to protect a person from harm or meet a legal obligation.
Boundaries
CNL provides education recruitment and applicant guidance. It does not provide medical, psychological, social-work or emergency safeguarding services.
